Maintenance Notes – August 21, 2025

As we approach the end of summer, it’s hard to believe Labor Day weekend is almost here! After the long days and challenges of 2025, many lot owners are already thinking about fall cleanup and winter projects. If you’re planning any off-season or late-season work that involves moving water or electricity connections, now is the time to schedule it. The sooner we know, the better we can accommodate your needs.

Labor Day Weekend – Extra Dumpsters
Once again, we’ve scheduled extra dumpsters for Labor Day weekend, assuming Waste Management doesn’t make any unexpected changes. These dumpsters are intended for non-household items—think furniture, debris, and other large items. They are not for regular household trash; that should continue to go into the compactor, provided it is open. The extra dumpsters also serve as a backup in case the compactor fills up.

Pump Truck & App Update
We’re thrilled to report that both the new pump truck and the new pump app have been overwhelming successes! Thanks to these tools, we’re seeing an all-time low in pump-out complaints, and we can address issues faster with improved communication.

A big shout-out to Derrek, Josh, and Thomas—your hard work and attention make all the difference.

That said, some pump-out connections remain tricky to access. If you request a pump-out, please ensure that the connection is clear and accessible. We don’t want drivers squeezing through, climbing over, or crawling under obstacles to get to your connection.

  • Slide-Outs: If your connection is under a slide-out, please retract the slide-out or extend the connection before your scheduled service.

  • Extension Service: We do offer an optional service to extend pump-out connections for a small fee (material cost only). This makes the process easier for everyone and helps prevent potential damage or delays.

Compactor Yard Reminder
A quick reminder: the area in front of the compactor yard is not common ground. It serves as a maintenance staging area, so please do not park there. Parking in this area risks damage to your vehicle and could interfere with our ability to load or unload equipment safely.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Enjoy the holiday, stay safe, and God bless!
