This past Saturday, we had an incident that began outside the park and spilled into River Bend. I want to sincerely thank our membership for being vigilant and assisting Security in locating the suspects. Sometimes it truly takes all of us working together to mitigate an issue. While Security was actively searching, the eyes and ears of our members proved invaluable. Thank you for your awareness and teamwork.

Earlier this week, we also experienced a power outage that originated outside of RBMC. As a reminder, when the entire park loses power, the issue is typically with Potomac Edison. Their outage map is a helpful resource, showing both the scope of the outage and estimated restoration times. You can also report outages through that map, though they only recognize River Bend as one customer. The larger the number of customers affected in the area, the faster crews are usually dispatched.

Please note: when power is out, the pool must remain closed. Regulations require the pumps to continuously circulate the water to ensure proper sanitation.

Looking ahead, we have a busy holiday weekend at River Bend!

  • Sunday: Our Annual Car Show – expect extra traffic in the park, so please drive carefully.

  • Sunday Office Hours: The office will be open 10 a.m.–2 p.m. for your convenience.

  • Monday: The final day of the 2025 pool season.

Finally, I’d like to extend a huge congratulations to our August Employees of the Month – the entire 2025 Lifeguard Team! This season, I received more compliments on pool operations and cleanliness than any other year. Their team lead, Logan, did an outstanding job ensuring scheduling and coverage ran smoothly. We could not be happier with their efforts and hope to see them return next year. Please take a moment to congratulate them and wish them a wonderful winter.

Thank you all for making River Bend a safe and enjoyable community.
