We’ve been made aware of concerns regarding the new storage area project being established in the buffer zone. As many of you know, the buffer zone was originally designated for valid reasons, and it is essential that any developments in this area follow the proper procedures to ensure transparency and community input.
According to the governing rules of RBMC, any proposed changes to RBMC property must go through a formal process. This includes sending three notices to all members and placing the proposal on the agenda for a vote. We are currently uncertain whether this process has been fully adhered to for this new storage area development.
Additionally, there are ongoing questions about access to the buffer zone. Specifically, members have raised concerns about whether access can be achieved without crossing member-owned property. One potential solution could be creating a new road behind the office, maintenance, and trash areas, which may be clarified by reviewing the park blueprints.
As a community, we must ensure that all actions taken reflect our shared interests and follow the established protocols. We encourage all members to stay informed and engage in the ongoing discussion to ensure that any future developments serve the best interests of the RBMC community.
