While many in our community are currently focused on the challenges brought by recent flooding, some members have also raised important questions about the upcoming Board of Directors election.
One commonly shared sentiment is a desire for more information about the candidates:
“I was wondering—will there be any kind of bio or background information on the nominees? I’d really like to know more about who I’m voting for, especially for the newer residents in the park.”
Another resident echoed the sentiment, noting that aside from a possible meet-and-greet, little information seems to have been shared.
“I think the only thing I saw was a meet-and-greet. Something more official would really help people make informed choices.”
However, others have pointed out a key concern: With only four candidates running for four open positions—and no write-in option—is there truly a choice in this election?
“With four candidates and four slots, it feels like the results are already decided. Even if you don’t vote, it’s still nice to know who these people are and what they stand for.”
This discussion raises valid points about transparency, community engagement, and the importance of informed voting—regardless of how many candidates are on the ballot.
RBMC encourages residents to remain engaged, ask questions, and take advantage of any opportunities to learn more about those running to represent the community. We appreciate all voices and welcome constructive input as we work to maintain a transparent and inclusive process.
