Let me introduce you to John our New General Manager.
John is originally from a small town in North Central Pennsylvania named Blossburg. Upon graduating college in 2004 he made the move south and briefly resided to Fredericksburg VA, his career relocated him to the Shenandoah Valley, he settled down in the Winchester VA area and started a family, he currently resides in Inwood WV.
Prior to joining River Bend, he served as the Director of Dining and Catering for The Village at Orchard Ridge, an independent care facility, in Winchester, VA. While there, he was responsible for all food and beverage operations and the quality of service and guest delight. In his service to other hospitality organizations, he has held leadership and general manager roles within Bowlero and Darden Restaurants (Olive Garden) with responsibility for over $20 million of development and growth.
John brings over 17 years of management experience, throughout his career, he has worked alongside outstanding leaders, mentors, and colleagues. He believes that leadership is the cornerstone of any organization, and maintaining open communication lines and a strong, positive relationship between the staff and residents is key to organizational strength and growth. As General Manager, John looks forward to meeting everyone, sharing wonderful experiences, creating lasting memories, and supporting each other in enhancing the mission, experience, and overall happiness of Riverbend.
John received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Operations Management and Communications Media. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, golfing, fishing and spending time with his wife and their four children.
