1. Summer is Moving Fast!
The Board reflects on how quickly the summer is passing by, reminding everyone to enjoy the ongoing festivities and activities. Special thanks go to Sylvia Samuels and her team for hosting "Christmas in July," a yearly tradition. The event has already been featured on several Facebook pages, and more details will be in this week's newsletter.

2. New Pump-Out Software Deployment

  • The new pump-out software is now being fully rolled out. The official launch was on July 15 with a Facebook post containing a link and QR code for account creation, along with detailed instructions on setup.

  • Positive feedback has been received so far, and the goal is to complete all pump-outs using the new software moving forward.

  • Due to high demand from Android users, an app version of the software is now available on Google Play and other Android stores. Apple users will have to wait a little longer due to Apple’s approval process.

3. Handling Emergency Situations

  • The Board emphasizes that the GM, staff, and Board's top priority in emergencies is to get help to the right place. First responders may not be familiar with the park, but the GM, Board, and Security team assist by guiding them and ensuring the area is blocked off when necessary.

  • In medical emergencies, while details won’t be immediately shared to respect privacy, the Board reassures members that updates will be provided when possible.

  • Special thanks were given to the Security staff, GM, and Board member Ada Freyer for their quick actions during the last emergency.

  • The Board highlights the experience of the GM, Michael, in managing emergencies and notes that the park is fortunate to have him.

4. Zero-Tolerance Policy for Security Abuse

  • Unfortunately, there have been instances of unfair treatment, verbal abuse, and even physical threats directed at the Security staff.

  • The Board reminds everyone that there is a zero-tolerance policy for such behavior. Fines will be imposed, and in more severe cases, penalties could include larger fines or restrictions on lot access for members or trespass orders for guests.

  • The Board is committed to ensuring the safety of employees and is reviewing whether harsher penalties are necessary for future incidents.

5. Call for More Committee Volunteers

  • The Board appeals for more members to join key committees, particularly those that have not yet reached full capacity. These committees are involved in vital park tasks ranging from financial oversight to recreation planning.

  • Committee interest forms are available at the Office, and members can also get more information or ask questions about specific committees.

Closing Note

  • The Board encourages everyone to stay safe and enjoy the rest of the summer, and looks forward to continued community involvement.
